Mental Health Therapist (Telehealth)
Transcend Clinical Services is seeking a Clinician who will provide individual, family, and/or couple's counseling to individuals seeking to improve their well-being based on identified needs. Services will be rendered virtually through a secure HIPAA Compliant Client portal. The clinician will be responsible for providing a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to feel heard and supported. The clinician will conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new patients and families. The clinician will be responsible for thorough detailed documentation including session notes, treatment plans, and assessments.
Location: Remote, Flexible Work Schedule
Position Type: Full-time and part-time positions available
Employee Class: Contractor, no benefits
Responsibilities:
- Maintain professional licensure and/or certification throughout employment with this agency
- Maintain professional competence and skills via training and continuing education
- Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment
- Gather information about community mental health needs and resources that could be used in conjunction with therapy
- Assess clients' mental condition based on review of client information, interviews, observation, assessments, and collaboration with other staff members
- Serve as a client advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on diagnosis, clinical experience and knowledge
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field
- Licensed Master Social Work (LMSW) or related license Licensed Certified Social Worker- Clinical (LCSW-C) or related license
- Licensed in either Maryland or Washington, DC
- Maintain professional licensure throughout employment with this agency
- Ability to work cooperatively as a team member
- Demonstrate flexibility and superb organizational skills
- Ability to guide, direct, and build rapport with clients
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with mentally or emotionally disabled persons and their families
